Helping Students Become Their Best Selves
Readily accessible online, in-person, and by phone, our counselors offer attention and expertise to our families and students in grades K–12. Our sole purpose is to help students thrive and plan for their bright futures ahead during their time with us. Our dedicated team of full-time, licensed school counselors offer:
academic goal setting, scheduling, and planning
personal and social development
individual and group short-term counseling to support students early-education academic, social, and emotional needs (for students in grades K-8)
future planning, including college and workforce preparation (for students in grades 9-12)

POST-GRADUATE PLANNING
We Help Students Become Future-Ready
For our students, Connections Academy is an important stepping- stone towards their future, whether that includes higher education or entering the workforce. We offer a wide variety of individualized services designed to help students prepare for their next adventure, including:
- personalized learning plans, focusing on each student’s unique postgraduation goals
- interactive, online LiveLesson® sessions, connecting families across the country with real-time information on financial aid and scholarships, college application processes, entrance requirements, and more
- help preparing for college admissions tests, like the ACT and SAT
- one-on-one counseling with seniors, providing resources and assistance with postsecondary planning, including workforce options, vocational training, and selecting the right college
- a full school profile, which will be provided when necessary for students to use when applying to colleges
KCA STARS
Celebrating Emotional Wins
Our KCA STARS program is a school-wide, social-emotional initiative designed to help students build skills such as managing difficult emotions, making responsible decisions, handling stress, setting goals, building healthy relationships, and more. Each month, teachers nominate students who have exemplified that month’s chosen trait, and then celebrate them at an all-school assembly. This year’s traits include:
