The New Mexico Connections Academy Governing Council is the governing body of the New Mexico Connections Academy charter school.

The school is operated by New Mexico Connections Academy, a government entity, to provide its educational program and other services. The school is governed by an independent Governing Council and all meetings are open to the public.

All of the meetings for the New Mexico Connections Academy Governing Council are open to the public and in compliance with New Mexico open meeting laws. You’re more than welcome to attend in person, Meetings are generally held at the school offices located at:

If you’re unable to attend in person, we offer the opportunity to address the Governing Council over the phone or attend via live stream. Please sumbit questions through the chat fuction.

We simply ask that you review our public comment policy. Even if you choose not to attend a meeting, our records are public and you can obtain them through a written request and the payment of processing charges as permitted by law. For more information, take a look at our public records request form and access to public records policy. Below, you’ll find the dates of completed and scheduled meetings for the current school year. We’ll add additional meeting dates on this webpage as we schedule them. However, our school offices are the official posting location for New Mexico Connections Academy Governing Council meeting notices.

The NMCA Governing Council follows all Open Meetings Laws per the Open Meetings Act (NMSA 1978, §§10-15-1 to -4) as stated in the Annual Open Meeting Act Resolution.
